  • The radiometric, or gamma-ray spectrometric method, measures the natural variations in the gamma-rays detected near the Earth's surface as the result of the natural radioactive decay of potassium (K), uranium (U) and thorium (Th). The data collected are processed via standard methods to ensure the response recorded is that due only to the rocks in the ground. The results produce datasets that can be interpreted to reveal the geological structure of the sub-surface. The processed data is checked for quality by GA geophysicists to ensure that the final data released by GA are fit-for-purpose. This radiometric potassium grid has a cell size of 0.0006 degrees (approximately 60m) and shows potassium element concentration of the Coober Pedy Ridge, SA, 1986 (86SA07) (74tk) survey. The data used to produce this grid was acquired in 2000 by the SA Government, and consisted of 8650.0 line-kilometres of data at 300.0m line spacing and 80.0m terrain clearance.

  • This project was commissioned by CRC Spatial Information (CRCSI) via Spatial Information Systems Ltd (SISL) and engaged Fugro Spatial Solutions Pty Ltd (FSS) to acquire a Digital Elevation model using Airborne Lidar over an area adjacent Darwin in the Northern Territory. The project consisted of ground survey, airborne Lidar capture and data processing to deliver a digital elevation model of the area. The aircraft was mobilised to Darwin on 3-Jul-09 and the aerial capture for the project was completed on 5-Jul-09.

  • AAMHatch has been engaged by Geoscience Australia to undertake a LiDAR survey over the Broken Hill Managed Aquifer Recharge (BHMAR) Phase 2 project area, for the purpose of producing a DTM and vegetation structure analysis. The survey covers an area of approximately 7856 sqkm of the Lower Darling River, downstream from Wilcannia. To this end, LiDAR data was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft between June 19th and August 5th 2009.
