<div>The Abbot Point to Hydrographers Passage bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the RV Escape during the period 6 Oct 2020 – 16 Mar 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases a section of Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage QLD. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 2040, and processed using QPS QINSy. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

The Surface Hydrology Points (Regional) dataset provides a set of related features classes to be used as the basis of the production of consistent hydrological information. This dataset contains a geometric representation of major hydrographic point elements - both natural and artificial. This dataset is the best available data supplied by Jurisdictions and aggregated by Geoscience Australia it is intended for defining hydrological features.

<p>The AusAEM Year 1 NT/QLD Airborne Electromagnetic Survey covers the Newcastle Waters and Alice Springs 1:1 Million map sheets in the Northern Territory and the Normanton and Cloncurry 1:1 Million map sheets in Queensland. CGG Aviation (Australia) Pty. Ltd. flew the 67,700-line kilometre survey between 2017 and 2018 using the TEMPEST® airborne electromagnetic system. Flown at 20-kilometre line spacing, data were acquired and processed under contract to Geoscience Australia. <p>This data package supersedes and replaces two earlier releases: June 11, 2018, and December 2018 (eCatID 120948) with revised calibrations and processing. Along with the regionally spaced (20 km) flight lines, it now includes 1,500 line kilometres of infill flying that was funded by private exploration companies and not previously released in view of time-bounded confidentiality agreements. The survey was commissioned by Geoscience Australia as part of the Exploring for the Future (EFTF) program. The EFTF program is led by Geoscience Australia (GA), in collaboration with the Geological Surveys of the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, and is investigating the potential mineral, energy and groundwater resources in northern Australia and South Australia. The EFTF is a four-year $100.5 million investment by the Australian Government in driving the next generation of resource discoveries in northern Australia, boosting economic development across this region. This Data Release (Phase 1) Package contains the final survey deliverables produced by the contractor CGG, including: <p>a) The operations and processing report. <p>b) Final processed electromagnetic, magnetic and elevation point located line data. <p>c) Final processed electromagnetic, magnetic and elevation grids. <p>d) Conductivity estimates generated by the EM Flow® conductivity depth-imaging algorithm. <p>e) Graphical multi-plots of line data and EM Flow® conductivity sections. <p>f) Graphical stacked EM Flow® conductivity sections. <p>g) ESRI shape-files containing the flight line locations. <p>An updated release package (Phase 2), which contains results from our in-house inversion of the EM data (from this Phase 1 release), which includes the regional and infill areas are downloadable from the link provided in the Downloads tab.

The Coompana Project is a collaborative project between Geoscience Australia (GA) and the Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA), which aims to provide new precompetitive geological, geophysical and geochemical data in the under-explored Coompana Province in South Australia. The pre-drilling geophysics program was undertaken to assist the drilling process by reducing the uncertainty associated with intersecting the targeted stratigraphy. Firstly, the magnetotellurics (MT) technique was tested at six sites where previous drill holes were located to benchmark the application of MT method with respect to estimating cover thickness in the region. Comparison with drill-hole details indicates that the method is capable of identifying major stratigraphic structures and providing cover thickness estimates with a reasonable accuracy (within 10%). Subsequently, MT data were acquired at eight proposed drilling sites in February 2017. 1D and 2D data modelling were undertaken using different algorithms to improve confidence level. Finally, estimates of the cover thickness with specified uncertainty at proposed drilling sites are produced. This report presents MT data acquisition and processing, data inversion and preliminary interpretation of model results. Limitations and uncertainty associated with the MT technique is discussed.

Processed Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y seismic data and uninterpreted and interpreted section images for the Capricorn Deep Crustal Seismic Survey. This survey was a collaborative ANSIR project between AuScope, the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Geoscience Australia. Funding was through AuScope and the Western Australian Government royalites for Regions Exploration Incentive Scheme. The objectives of the survey were use deep seismic profiling to improve the understanding of the Western Australian continent by imaging the subsurface extent of Archean crust beneath the Capricorn Orogen and determining whether the Pilbara and Yilgarn Cratons are in direct contact or separated by one of more elements of Proterozoic crust. AAMHatch has been engaged by Geoscience Australia to undertake a LiDAR survey over the BHMAR Phase 2 project area, for the purpose of producing a DTM and vegetation structure analysis. The survey covers an area of approximately 7856 sqkm of the Lower Darling River, downstream from Wilcannia. To this end, LiDAR data was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft between June 19th and August 5th 2009.

AAM was commissioned by the Department of Primary Industries, Water & Environment to conduct an airborne LiDAR survey over 2 regions known as Coal Mines and Port Arthur. The project area comprises approximately 5.7km². The area was acquired on 14th March 2014.

Geoscience Australia acquired the Canning Coastal Deep Crustal Seismic Survey in 2014. The survey involved the acquisition of seismic reflection and gravity data along two traverses, 14GA-CC1 (562km) and 14GA-CC2 (143km) between Port Hedland and Derby, WA. The purpose of the survey was to image the crustal architecture of the geology underlying the Canning Basin and its relationship to the boundaries between the crystalline hard rock areas of the North (Kimberley) and West Australian (Pilbara) cratons. As well as establishing the subsurface extent of the Canning Basin and the extent and nature of its sub-basins and troughs. The project was collaboration between the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Geoscience Australia with funding from the Western Australian Royalty for Regions Scheme. The 2005 Tanami Seismic Survey was carried out from May to July for a research consortium consisting of Geoscience Australia, Geological Survey of Western Australia, Northern Territory Geological Survey, Newmont Mining and Tanami Gold. The Australian National Seismic Imaging Resource (ANSIR) was responsible for seismic data acquisition, as well as for field QC and preliminary in-field processing. The survey consisted of 720 line km along four regional deep seismic traverses, aimed at providing orthogonal three-dimensional control on the regional fault geometry.
