  • All available processed seismic data and well completion reports relevant to the 2009 Acreage Release. Datasets available in Geoframe, Kingdom and Landmark workstation formats.

  • map showing location of currently producing oil and gas fileds and potential future producing fields. Location and extent of oil and gas pipelines (existing and proposed) is also shown.

  • Package holding all available processed data and well completion reports relevant to the Carnarvon 2007Acreage Release in workstation format - Geoframe, Kingdom and Landmark.

  • This map contains information on Oil and Gas pipeline infrastructure. Attributes have been added to comply with data standards and minor coding of line work has been achieved using annotation from the map. Further data has been added, specifically for the specific Acreage Release Areas.

  • The Major Carbon Dioxide Emitters of Australia is a combination of a two digital datasets 'source_top50' and 'min_source' from within the publication: Bradshaw, J., Bradshaw, B., Spencer, L., Wilson, P., Simon, G. & Mackie, V. 2001. GEODISC Project 1 - Regional analysis, stage 3 basins and emissions mapping, Geoscience Australia, GEODISC1-2001-006 (CD). The top 139 CO2 emitters as of 1998 are included, representing ~43% of net national GHG emissions and 54% of the net energy emissions from the 1998 National Greenhouse Gas Inventory. Each emitter has information containing the following attributes; Facility, Facil_Type, Facil_Name, State, Emissions, Emissions1, Emissions2, Emissions3, 20Yrs_Mt, 20Yrs_Tcf, DataSource, DataYear.

  • Australia’s Energy Commodity Resources (AECR) provides estimates of Australia’s energy commodity reserves, resources, and production as at the end of 2019. The 2021 edition of AECR also includes previously unpublished energy commodity resource estimates data compiled by Geoscience Australia for the 2018 reporting period. The AECR energy commodity resource estimates are based primarily on published open file data and aggregated (de identified) confidential data. The assessment provides a pre COVID 19 baseline for the production and remaining recoverable resources of gas, oil, coal, uranium and thorium in Australia, and the global significance of our nation’s energy commodity resources.

  • Package holding all available processed data and well completion reports relevant to the Offshore Canning 2007Acreage Release in workstation format - Geoframe, Kingdom and Landmark.

  • Promotional flyer comprising map showing petroleum exploration permits and current and proposed gazettal areas for acreage release. map is supplemented by short information (text) about geological aspects of release areas and summeries of Austrlaia's oil and gas production levels.

  • Package holding all available processed data and well completion reports relevant to the Troubadour-Money Shoal 2007Acreage Release in workstation format - Geoframe, Kingdom and Landmark.

  • The Australian Government formally releases new offshore exploration areas at the annual APPEA conference. The previous two releases were characterised by several large gazetted areas in underexplored regions, a trend that is maintained this year with several frontier areas in excess of 100 graticular blocks on offer. The uptake of new exploration permits in the Bight Basin, the offshore North Perth Basin and the Roebuck Basin indicates a continuing strong industry interest in offshore frontier exploration.
