This web service delivers metadata for onshore active and passive seismic surveys conducted across the Australian continent by Geoscience Australia and its collaborative partners. For active seismic this metadata includes survey header data, line location and positional information, and the energy source type and parameters used to acquire the seismic line data. For passive seismic this metadata includes information about station name and location, start and end dates, operators and instruments. The metadata are maintained in Geoscience Australia's onshore active seismic and passive seismic database, which is being added to as new surveys are undertaken. Links to datasets, reports and other publications for the seismic surveys are provided in the metadata.

This service delivers data from Geoscience Australia's Petroleum Systems database, a compilation of information from summary reports on petroleum systems by basin across Australia, integrated with data from other Geoscience Australia databases including provinces, stratigraphy and boreholes. The data provided by this service is intended for use in the Petroleum Systems Summary tool on the Geoscience Australia Portal. The tool's aim is to provide high-level information of the current understanding of key petroleum systems for areas of interest and assist geological studies by summarising and interpreting key datasets related to conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon exploration. Each petroleum systems summary includes a synopsis of the basin and key figures detailing the basin outline, major structural components, data availability, petroleum systems events chart and stratigraphy, and a précis of the key elements of source, reservoir and seal.

The Paleozoic alkaline and related igneous rocks of Australia web map service depicts the spatial representation of the alkaline and related rocks of Paleozoic age.

This service provides access to inorganic geochemistry data obtained from chemical analyses of rock and regolith samples collected during mapping and sampling programs in Australia. This service will provide a spatial distribution of the sample attributes as well as provide a spatial distribution of the analytical composition of the samples with respect to major elements, minor elements and rare earth elements. This service includes original inorganic geochemistry data levelled to reference datasets.

The Stillwell Hills region comprises granulite-facies gneisses which record evidence for multiple episodes of deformation and metamorphism spanning more than 2500 million years. The predominant orthogneiss package (Stillwell Orthogneiss) is thought to represent the margin of an Archaean craton exposed in Enderby Land, some 150 km to the west that was reworked during the late Proterozoic. Younger additions to the crust include Palaeoproterozoic charnockitic gneiss (Scoresby Charnockite) and Meso-Neoproterozoic mafic sills and dykes (Point Noble Gneiss, Kemp Dykes) and felsic pegmatites (Cosgrove Pegmatites). Subordinate supracrustal rocks, including metaquartzite, metapelitic, metapsammitic and calc-silicate gneiss (Dovers Paragneiss, Sperring Paragneiss, Stefansson Paragneiss, Keel Paragneiss, Ives Paragneiss) are intercalated and infolded with the Archaean-Palaeoproterozoic orthogneisses. <b>Legacy service retired 29/11/2022</b> This is an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) web service providing access to Australian onshore and offshore borehole data conforming to the GeoSciML version 4.0 specification. The borehole data includes Mineral Drillholes, Petroleum Wells and Water Bores along with a variety of others types. The dataset has been restricted to onshore and offshore Australian boreholes, and bores that have the potential to support geological investigations and assessment of a variety of resources.

This web service delivers datasets produced by the Critical Minerals Mapping Initiative (CMMI), a collaboration between Geoscience Australia (GA), the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC) and the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Data in this service includes geochemical analyses of over 7000 samples collected from or near mineral deposits from 60 countries, and mineral prospectivity models for clastic-dominated (Zn, Pb) and Mississippi Valley-type (Zn-Pb) deposits across Canada, the United States, and Australia.

This web service provides access to the Foundation Facilities Points dataset. This contains the spatial location of publicly available data showing private and public hospitals, aged care facilities, education facilities and emergency management facilities.

This web feature service delivers geochemical data for samples analysed both for inorganic and organic geochemistry. Analytical data are sourced from Geoscience Australia's Inorganic Geochemistry Database (OZCHEM) and Organic Geochemistry Database (ORGCHEM), respectively. The data are joined on a unique sample number. Inorganic geochemical data cover the majority of the periodic table, with metadata on analytical methods and detection limits. Organic geochemical data include results of pyrolysis, derivative calculated values, and, where available, isotopic composition of carbonates (D13C) and isotopic composition of rock nitrogen (D15N). Further, there are provisions for delivery of isotopic data for kerogen (H, C, N) and oxygen (O) for carbonates. Where available, sample descriptions include stratigraphic unit names and ages, and lithology. Location information includes coordinates of the sampled feature (eg, borehole), coordinates of the sample and sample depth. Interpretation of the combined inorganic and organic geochemistry for organic-rich shales will facilitate comprehensive characterisation of hydrocarbons source rocks and mineral commodities source and trap environments. All are achieved within the frameworks of petroleum and mineral systems analysis. The initial data delivered by this service include 1785 samples from 35 boreholes from 14 geological provinces, including recently released data for 442 samples from the South Nicholson National Drilling Initiative Carrara 1 stratigraphic drill hole (Butcher et al., 2021; Carson et al., 2021). Many sampled boreholes are located within the polygon of the Exploring for the Future Barkly-Isa-Georgetown project. This dataset will be updated periodically as more data become available.

This service represents models of the structure and composition of the lithospheric mantle. The service currently delivers grids generated from modelling of the structure and composition of the lithospheric mantle at an Australian continental scale using the LitMod platform.
