<div>The Abbot Point to Hydrographers Passage bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the RV Escape during the period 6 Oct 2020 – 16 Mar 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases a section of Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage QLD. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 2040, and processed using QPS QINSy. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

Two bathymetric surveys of Darwin Harbour were undertaken during the period 17 October to 07 November 2010 and 24 June to 20 August 2011 by iXSurvey Australia Pty Ltd for Darwin Port Corporation and Department of Lands Planning, and the Department of Natural Resources, Environment, The Arts and Sport (NRETAS) in collaboration with Geoscience Australia (GA), the Darwin Port Corporation (DPC) and the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) using iXSurvey's and GA's Kongsberg EM3002D multibeam sonar systems and DPC's vessel 'Matthew Flinders'.

The Vanderford Glacier bathymetry survey was acquired by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) during the maiden Antarctic voyage of the RSV Nuyina from 23 December 2021 – 30 January 2022. The survey area encompasses Vincennes Bay (offshore Vanderford Glacier), and offshore Casey Station and Davis Station and was completed as a combination of commissioning trials, ice trials and a resupply voyage. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 712 and EM 122 and processed using QPS Qimera and Caris HIPS and SIPS. The dataset was then exported to GeoTIFF using CARIS HIPS and SIPS software. This dataset contains nine 5m-, 10m-, 16m-, 20m-, 64m-, 128m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.

The survey area encompases an area North East of Flinders Island, Tasmania. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040-07 MKII and processed using CARIS HIPS & SIPS processing software. This was a contracted survey conducted by MMA Offshore as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompasses the Cape Barren to Babel Island, Tasmania. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040P and processed using CARIS HIPS & SIPS processing software. <div>The Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping was acquired by Ocean Infinity Pty Ltd onboard the M/V Offshore Solution from the 21st to the 24th July 2021, using a Kongsberg EM2040 Mark II. This survey was part of the Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping project in partnership with Deakin University’s Marine Mapping Group, University of Wollongong, Tellus4D Geoimaging, University of Newcastle, University of New South Wales, University of Tasmania and Geoscience Australia to obtain high resolution bathymetric grid (1m) and to define the morpho-bathymetry of the survey area based on the bathymetric grid and derived products such as slope aspect map, ruggedness map, bathymetry position index and backscatter map. This dataset contains a 1m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF file of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM2040 Mark II bathymetry data, using Qimera and CARIS HIPS and SIPS software. The Wallaby-Zenith Fracture Zone Survey was acquired by the Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre at the University of Western Australia during the expedition “Indomitable” onboard the RV DSSV Pressure Drop from the 8th March to the 2nd June 2021 led by Dr. Alan Jamieson, using a Kongsberg EM124. The expedition was funded by a joint mission between Caladan Oceanic LLC (US) and the Minderoo Foundation (Australia). This dataset contains a 64m-resolution and a 128mm-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM124 bathymetry data, using QPS Qimera v.2.5 software. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes. This dataset is published with the permission of the CEO, Geoscience Australia.

<div>The Zeehan and Franklin Marine Parks, West Coast Tasmania Bathymetry Acquisition was acquired by CSIRO onboard the TV Bluefin between 22 Feb 2022 and 21 Mar 2022, using a Kongsberg EM2040C. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania, to conduct a multibeam survey encompasing the Zeehan and Franklin Marine Parks for Parks Australia. Bathymetry data was processed using QPS Qimera and Caris Hips & Sips processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 2m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area. The Solitary Islands Gumbaynggirr Yaegl MP bathymetry survey was acquired by the NSW government (Department of Planning and Environment – DPE) onboard the RV Bombora during the period 31 Aug 2022 – 31 Jul 2023, using DPE’s R2Sonic 2022 multibeam sonar. The survey was completed as part of the SeabedNSW program funded by NSW government through Coastal Reforms (>2015), HabMap Program funded through Marine Parks Authority (now under Marine Estate Management Authority) or through collaborations with partner agencies or institutions. The purpose of the project was to 1) provide a baseline dataset and 2) map the spatial distribution of seabed types. This dataset contains 32-bit floating point geotiff files of bathymetry and backscatter in 5m resolution for the study area, derived from the processed Hypack, R2Sonic GUI, POSView, POSPac, Qimera and FMGT software.
