• The Digital Atlas of Australian Soils (the 'Digital Atlas') is a digital version of the set of ten maps, compiled by K H Northcote et al. and published in 1960 - 68 by CSIRO and Melbourne University Press in Melbourne, known as the 'Atlas of Australian Soils, Sheets 1 to 10, with explanatory data'. This dataset was produced by NRIC in 1991.

 • Map showing Australia's Maritime Jurisdiction off the central portion of the Australian Antarctic Territory. One of the 27 constituent maps of the "Australia's Maritime Jurisdiction Map Series" (GeoCat 71789). Depicting Australia's extended continental shelf approved by the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf in April 2008 and various maritime zones. Background bathymetric image is derived from a grid by Smith and Sandwell, 1997. Background land imagery derived from Blue Marble, NASA's Earth Observatory. A0 sized .pdf downloadable from the web.

 • Map showing Australia's Maritime Jurisdiction around Tasmania, including South Tasman Rise and Victoria but not Macquarie Ridge. Based on Lambert Conformal Conic Projection. One of the 27 constituent maps of the "Australia's Maritime Jurisdiction Map Series" (GeoCat 71789). Depicting Australia's extended continental shelf, approved by the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf in April 2008, and various maritime zones. Background bathymetric image is derived from a combination of the 2009 9 arc second bathymetric and topographic grid by GA and a grid by Smith and Sandwell, 1997. Background land imagery derived from Blue Marble, NASA's Earth Observatory. A0 sized portrait format .pdf downloadable from the web.

 • Map showing Australia's Maritime Jurisdiction off the western portion of the Australian Antarctic Territory.

 •
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT WAS REMOVED FROM PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION AS THE DATA ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE
This 1:2 million scale atlas is the companion volume to the Broken Hill Exploration Initiative (BHEI) final data CD and covers the area in the Broken Hill region spanning the border between South Australia and New South Wales. It contains geophysical images from high-quality data collected over the province as part of BHEI and is intended as a starting point for modern and effective resource exploration.

 • This map shows the maritime boundaries north of Australia with the General Bathymetric Chart of the Ocean (GEBCO) bathymetry as a background. It was produced by MSIBA Project of the Marine and Coastal Enivornment Group, PMD for internal use by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for the tracking of illegal Foreign Fishing Vessels.

 • This map shows the fishing boundaries north of Australia as well as seafloor bathymetry and names. It was produced by MSIBA Project of the Marine and Coastal Enivornment Group, PMD for internal use by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, Compliance Operations Section.

 • These colour images are a digital hill-shaded relief pictoral representation of the 60 arc second bathymetric grid of the Australian region. The images represent a 60-arc second gridded compilation of several terrain data sets: 1) Satellite derived predicted bathymetry for sea floor topography distant from the Australian continental margin (dataset reference : SMITH, W. H. F. and SANDWELL, D. T. 1997. Global Seafloor Topography from Satellite Altimetry and Ship Depth Soundings, Science, 277,1956-1962.); 2) GTOPO30 land topography for other landmasses; 3) 9-arc second DEM over the Australian landmass; and 4) an interpolation of various ship-derived bathymetry data sets around the Australian continental margin, comprising mostly sparse ship track soundings and limited multibeam bathymetry coverage.

 • This dataset is a spatial represention of a database of the Tectonic Elements of the Australian region (mainly offshore), based on AGSO interpretations of existing datasets and on other published information. The database is under constant development as AGSO carries out new interpretations.
