The Australian Gas Distribution Licences Dataset is comprised of data acquired from state government, state/territory energy regulators, and company websites; and 'State of the Energy Market 2007' published by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). The dataset is maintained on an ongoing basis, with source material acquired from company websites and state/territory agencies. Each gas distribution licence has information containing the following attributes; Lic_Number, Location, State, Network_Len, Asset_Base, Owner, Operator, Lic_Start, Lic_Expire, Lic_Update, Source1. This dataset has been developed in conjunction with a number of related datasets including electricity distribution licences, and gas and electricity retail licences.

The Australian Biofuel Production Plants dataset is comprised of publicly available biofuel data sourced from a combination of government and industry websites. Both biodiesel and bioethanol plants are included. The dataset is maintained on an ongoing basis, with source material acquired from company websites and state/territory agencies. Each biofuel production plant has information containing the following attributes; NAME, LOCATION, STATE, COMPANY, STATUS, FUEL_TYPE, FEEDSTOCK, ANN_CAP, BBLPD, COMMENTS, SOURCE1, SOURCE2, SOURCE3.

This dataset was designed to combine Geosciences' offshore platform with more attributes sourced from the internet.

Maps, plots and data sheets of average source rock richness, quality and maturity for five Mesozoic time slices are presented for offshore Northwest Australia (Carnarvon to Arafura basins). These maps/data facilitate regional assessment of the source rock potential of the region, and provide a framework for future exploration of the region's petroleum systems. The maps were compiled at a scale of 1:3 million, and are supplemented by two-way-time isopach maps for each time slice derived from interpretation of Geoscience Australia's regional seismic grid of the area (approximately 35,000 line km). Age vs TOC, S2 and HI, and source rock crossplots were also compiled from screened raw Rock-Eval pyrolysis data and displayed as inserts in the maps. The maps and open-file data used in the compilation of the maps can be viewed directly, or printed as a hard copy.

Regular release of offshore acreage, part of the Australian Governmen's strategy to encourage investment in petroleum exploration. Provides information to intending investors in the Australian petroleum (oil and gas) sector, and to general public on the Australian investment framework for petroleum. This data package contains seismic and potential field data from surveys conducted by GA in the area of the Capel and Faust basins, approximately 800 kms due east of Brisbane. Some of the datas available in this package are: - Survey S302 migrated data - Full PreSTM stacks no Scaling; Full PreSTM stacks with Dual Gate AGC Scalars; Full PreSTM stacks with Dual Gate AGC Scalars and Inverse Q; Near, Middle and Far angle stacks; Near, Middle and Far angle stacks with Inverse Q; Velocities, Navigation and observers logs - Shell MV Petrel (Shell International 1971) - Reprocessed portions of lines P703 & P704 done in 2006 using a PreSTM processing sequence. - AGSO Survey 177 (Aust- NZ 1996): All of line LHRNR_BA collected as part of the Law of the Sea program to establish Australia's extended continental shelf Original + a reprocessed portion of this line done in 2006 using a PreSTM processing sequence. - AGSO Survey 206 "FAUST 1" (Aust - French 1998) 3 lines Original collected as part of the Law of the Sea program to establish Australia's extended continental shelf Original + reprocessed portions of lines 04 & 02 done in 2006 using a PreSTM processing sequence.

These data document the palynological analysis of 99 samples analysed for spores and pollen by M.MacPhail and 38 samples for dinoflagellate cysts by E. Monteil for age-dating adn depositional environment assessment. Age-dating are based on the zonations of Filatoff (1975), Backhouse (1978, 1988) and Helby et al. (1987, 2004).

The nannofossil data lists the occurrence of each species of nannofossil in a sample, with semi-quantitative estimates of abundance. Following the list of species, the nannofossil zone (from the zonations of Martini, 1971, Okada & Bukry, 1980, Burnett, 1998, or Watkins et al., 1996), and the geologic stage interpreted from the nannofossil zone.
