  • Geoscience Australia conducted the Albany Fraser Orogen 2D Seismic Survey in 2012. The survey involves the acquisition of seismic reflection and gravity Data over the Yilgarn Craton margin and the Albany Fraser Orogen of Western Australia. The survey consisted of four lines, totalling 677kms. The project is a collaborative project between Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of Western Australia and is part of the ongoing cooperation under the National Geoscience Agreement (NGA). Funding of this project is through the Western Australian Government's Royalties for Regions Exploration Incentive Scheme. The primary objective of the project is to Image the crustal architecture of the Yilgarn Craton margin and its relationship to the Albany-Fraser Orogen and establish the subsurface extent of the Yilgarn Craton beneath the Albany-Fraser Orogen, and look for mantle-tapping structures that may have provided fluid pathways for mineralization. The seismic lines are designed to cross several major faults, such as the Cundeelee Fault, the Fraser Fault, the Newman Shear Zone, and the Red Island Shear Zone. A 70km long deep crustal seismic line was also acquired near the Tropicana Gold mine with the assistance of AuScope Earth Imaging, Anglo Gold Ashanti and the Independence Group. The purpose of this line was to image the crustal architecture as well as to understand the structural geometry around the Tropicana gold deposit and help define prospective areas elsewhere along the belt.   • Processed seismic data (SEG-Y format) and TIFF images for the 2007 Georgetown - Charters Towers Deep Crustal Seismic Survey (L185), acquired by Geoscience Australia (GA) under the Onshore Energy Security Program (OESP), in collaboration with the Queensland Geological Survey. Stack and migrated data for line 07GA-GC1 as well as CDP coordinates and maps. 07GA-GC1 is 492.9 km long. The traverse began at Ooralat Station, north of the Gulf Developmental Road and headed southeast toward Einasleigh along dirt roads. At Einasleigh, the line veered east-southeast in the direction of Charters Towers passing to the west of the township, then traversed through the Charters Towers gold mining area and terminated approximately 100 km south of Charters Towers at the Cape River.   • Processed seismic data (SEG-Y format) and TIFF images for the Curnamona - Gawler Link Dep Crustal Seismic survey (L191) acquired by Geoscience Australia (GA) in collaboration with Primary Industries and Resources South Australia (PIRSA). Stack and migrated data for line 09GA-CG1 as well as CDP coordinates data. The Curnamona- Gawler Link traverse is approximately 145km in line length and ties to the L164 Curnamona Seismic Line 03GA-CU1.   • Processed seismic data (SEG-Y format) and TIFF images for the Gawler-Officer-Musgrave-Amadeus (GOMA) Deep Crustal Seismic survey (L190) acquired by Geoscience Australia (GA) in collaboration with AuScope and Primary Industries and Resources South Australia (PIRSA). Stack and migrated data for line 09GA-OM1 as well as CDP coordinates data. This 634 line km traverse follows the Alice Springs to Adelaide railway line begining near Erldunda in the Northern Territory and finishing near Tarcoola in South Australia.   • Processed Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y seismic data and section images for the Georgina - Arunta Deep Crustal Seismic Survey. This survey was primarily funded through the Onshore Energy Security Program and was acquired in collaboration the Northern Territory Geological Survey. The objectives of the survey were to image the Georgina and Amadeus basins to enhance the knowledge of their petroleum prospectivity, and to investigate the uranium potential of the Arunta Inlier.   • Processed Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y seismic data and section images for the Southern Carnarvon Deep Crustal Seismic Survey. This survey was conducted under a National Geoscience Agreement with the Western Australia Geological Survey. Funding was through the Onshore Energy Security Program. The objective of the survey was to image the Byro Sub-basin of the onshore Carnarvon Basin. Data are supplied as SEG-Y files and PDF images.   • Processed Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y seismic data and uninterpreted and interpreted section images for the Capricorn Deep Crustal Seismic Survey. This survey was a collaborative ANSIR project between AuScope, the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Geoscience Australia. Funding was through AuScope and the Western Australian Government royalites for Regions Exploration Incentive Scheme. The objectives of the survey were use deep seismic profiling to improve the understanding of the Western Australian continent by imaging the subsurface extent of Archean crust beneath the Capricorn Orogen and determining whether the Pilbara and Yilgarn Cratons are in direct contact or separated by one of more elements of Proterozoic crust.   • This 2D deep crust seismic reflection survey is part of the joint project between the Geological Survey of Western Australia and Geoscience Australia and is a base study of the South Perth Basin linked to possible future geo-sequestration in the region. It consists of recording seismic signals down to 8 seconds two-way-time depth to image the rock layers below the earths surface. This geophysical method allows the upper crust to be imaged and assists in providing an understanding of the crustal architecture of the study region. Terrex Seismic, a sub-contractor, undertook the geophysical data acquisition. The data were processed to produce industry standard 2D land seismic reflection data.
