  • The Great North Channel Torres Strait Multibeam survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the MV Offshore Guardian and MV Special Order during the period 04 February– 14 April 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted by Guardian Geomatics as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompasses the Great North East Channel of the Torres Strait located between the Stephens Island, Pearce Cay and Rennel Island, Queensland. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040-07 and Norbit iWBMSh Stx 200-400 kHz and processed using CARIS HIPS & SIPS 11.3 processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area. <BR>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.

  • <div>The Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping was acquired by Ocean Infinity Pty Ltd onboard the M/V Offshore Solution from the 21st to the 24th July 2021, using a Kongsberg EM2040 Mark II. This survey was part of the Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping project in partnership with Deakin University’s Marine Mapping Group, University of Wollongong, Tellus4D Geoimaging, University of Newcastle, University of New South Wales, University of Tasmania and Geoscience Australia to obtain high resolution bathymetric grid (1m) and to define the morpho-bathymetry of the survey area based on the bathymetric grid and derived products such as slope aspect map, ruggedness map, bathymetry position index and backscatter map. This dataset contains a 1m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF file of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM2040 Mark II bathymetry data, using Qimera and CARIS HIPS and SIPS software.   • <div>The Kimberley Region and WA Reefs Bathymetry was derived by EOMAP form multispectral satellite data from the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellite sensor. EOMAP was contracted by Geoscience Australia (GA) to provide high-resolution (10m) Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SDB) for the Priority Australian Seabed Mapping Sites. The survey area encompasses an area within Kimberley Region in Western Australia which includes Ashmore Reef, Browse Island, Cartier Island, Clerke Reef, Cunningham Island, Mermaid Reef, Scott Reef and Seringapatam Reef. These critical geospatial data layers provide the essential environmental baseline information for the long-term monitoring and management of these Marine Parks. Mapping the shallow water zone is of importance both from an environmental and socioeconomic perspective. Having access to digital, georeferenced, high-resolution maps of bathymetry and benthic habitats of shallow water areas, is of fundamental use in the areas of navigation, ecological research, environmental modelling, management and conservation, and monitoring the impacts from climate change. Bathymetry data was processed using the physics-based inversion method to derive quantitative information of the shallow water bathymetry using the reflected sunlight energy in different wavelengths of the visible and near infrared region.   • <div>The Western Approaches to Torres Strait Bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the MV Pacific Conquest, an unmanned vehicle USV and VH-VEH Cessna 441 aircraft during the period 29 October 2020 – 21 February 2021.&nbsp;</div><div>This is a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by Fugro Australia Marine as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP). </div><div>The survey area is east of the Western approaches to the Torres Strait. </div><div>Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040 (Dual/Single Head and Dual swath), EM2040P and LADS HD+ and RIEGL VQ-820-G systems and processed using CARIS HIPS & SIPS 11.3.17, LADS HD+ GS, RiWorld processing software. </div><div>The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • <div>The Broome Reference Surfaces bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) during the period 25 Sep 2020 - 26 Sep 2020. This surface was created from a contracted national reference survey between Gantheaume Point and Talboys Rock, Broome WA, collected for the purpose of calibrating multibeam echosounders.&nbsp;It was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program, acquired using Kongsberg EM 2040D, and processed using Caris HIPS & SIPS. A grid in 0.5m resolution is provided for the surveyed site within this survey area in MSL, LAT and Ellipsoid vertical datum. The dataset was then exported as a 0.5m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • <div>The Cairns Reference Surfaces bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) on 27 May 2020. This surface was created from a contracted national reference survey in Cairns QLD, collected for the purpose of calibrating multibeam echosounders.&nbsp;It was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program, acquired using R2Sonic 2022, and processed using Caris HIPS & SIPS. Seperate grids in 0.5m resolution are provided for the three surveyed sites within this survey area in MSL, LAT and Ellipsoid vertical datum. The dataset was then exported as a 0.5m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

The survey area encompases an area in Torres Strait, Queensland. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040C and a Kongsberg EM2040P, and processed using QPS Qimera processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

This is a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by EGS as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP). </div><div>The survey area encompases Hay Point to Hydrographers Passage in Queensland. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040D and Kongsberg EM 2040C systems and processed using QPS Qimera processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • <div>The Abbot Point to Hydrographers Passage bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the RV Escape during the period 6 Oct 2020 – 16 Mar 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases a section of Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage QLD. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 2040, and processed using QPS QINSy. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • The Approaches to Darwin, Beagle Gulf bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the M/V Limitless and PHS Zephyr during the period 26 June – 30 August 2020. This was a contracted survey conducted as part of the HydroScheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP). The survey area lies North-West of Cox Peninsula, encompassing South Gutter and is bounded by North Gutter, Fenton Patches and Fish Reef. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg R2Sonic 2026 and R2Sonic 2024 and processed using QPS Qimera V2.0.1. The dataset was then exported to GeoTIFF using CARIS HIPS and SIPS software. This dataset contains a 30m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF file. This dataset is not to be used for navigation.
