The data in this web service was created as part of the National CO2 Infrastructure Plan (NCIP) between 2012 and 2016 where Geoscience Australia undertook a comprehensive study in the offshore Petrel Sub-basin. This program was established under the National Low Emission Coal Initiative to accelerate identification and development of CO2 storage sites close to major emission sources.
