GA Enniskillen 1 Modular Formation Dynamics Tester (MDT) (digital dataset)
<p style="margin-left:0px;">The Data Driven Discoveries program is a $30.9 million initiative led by Geoscience Australia in collaboration with the Geological Survey of Queensland. The program aims to re-examine decades old seismic data and collect new geoscientific data to identify opportunities for resource discovery in the underexplored Adavale Basin in south-central Queensland. This program supports the Australian Government’s Net Zero Plan by researching opportunities for hydrogen storage and seeks to improve understanding of the basin’s minerals, energy and groundwater potential.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">In November 2025, the program successfully completed the Adavale Basin stratigraphic drilling project as part of its final phase of delivery, where the GA Enniskillen 1 borehole reached a total depth of 3,023 metres. Occurring near the town of Blackall, the borehole provided 976 metres of Adavale Basin drill core, rock chips, groundwater samples, and comprehensive geophysical logs.<span style="background-color:rgb(198,198,198)!important;"> </span></p><p style="margin-left:0px;">This document describes the GA Enniskillen 1 Modular Formation Dynamics Tester (MDT) dataset and associated deliverables.
