The information contained within this data set has been selected from the GA corporate data with the following business logic applied: 1. Specimens must be linked to a borehole that meets the following criteria: a.Security rating of the data is open file b.Only active records are included c.Only related Australian Borehole Records are included d.A decision was made to exclude any boreholes that had no defined location. 2. Where the specimen has no individual location it will inherit the location of the borehole collar. GA Corporate data has been sourced from a variety of place including (but not limited to) Mineral and Petroleum Exploration companies, State Geological Surveys and Water Authorities as well as internal drilling programs. The observationd and measurements that are associated with these specimens have been analysed by both external and internal (to GA) laboratories.
