Abstract
These datasets cover approximately 743 sq km over Atherton, Biboohra-Koah, Chillagoe, Dimbulah, Herberton, Irvinebank, Kairi-Tinaroo, Malanda, Mareeba, Millaa-Millaa, Millstream, Mt Carbine, Mt Garnet, Mt Molloy, Mutchilba, Rangeview-Tolga, Ravenshoe, Speewah, Walkamin, Watsonville and Yungaburra in the Tablelands Regional Council and were captured as part of the 2011 Tablelands LiDAR project. This project, undertaken by Terranean Mapping Technologies on behalf of the Tablelands Regional Council captured highly accurate elevation data using LiDAR technology. Available dataset formats (in 1 kilometre tiles) are: - Classified las (LiDAR Data Exchange Format where strikes are classified as ground, vegetation or building) - 1 metre Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in ASCII xyz - 1 metre Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in ESRI ASCII grid - 0.25 metre contours in ESRI Shape

Lineage
LI_Lineage: ACQUISITION Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) data was acquired for the Tablelands Project from a fixed wing aircraft between 25 May 2011 and the 02 June 2011. GROUND SUPPORT A total of 533 points were surveyed across 19 ground control sites throughout the Tablelands Regional Council project area. The sites were primarily used for the purpose of validating LiDAR data accuracy. Terranean surveyors were dispatched from offices in Cairns, North Queensland. The Survey was carried out utilizing Trimble GNSS receivers operating using the Post Processed Kinematic method of survey. DATA PRESENTATION The data has been supplied in accordance with a specification agreed with the primary client. The data is delivered in 1 km tiles to ensure file sizes and point counts. per file are manageable. FILE SIZES AND NAMES Data is provided in tiles 1km by 1km to the following file naming convention: eg. NW_335000_8084000_1k_1m_DEM.xyz NW - North West 335000 - coordinate easting of north west tile corner 8084000 - coordinate northing of north west tile corner _1km - tile dimensions, eg 1km x 1km _1m_DEM - Digital Elevation model with 1m grid spacing _cont - 25 cm contours .xyz - space delimited ASCII format .las - laser strikes 'classified in accordance with ASPRS V1.1 LAS file standards' various point class levels. DEM_ESRI.asc - ESRI ASCII Grid format SOURCE DATA Acquisition Start Date: 25/05/11 Acquisition End Date: 02/06/11 Number of Runs: 252, Number of Cross Runs: 35 Flight Direction: Non - cardinal LASER SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS Item: Laser System Device Name: Trimble Harrier 68i Sensor/Lens serial ID: H67_017 IMU Used: POSAV510 - IMU14 IMU serial ID: Flying Height: 950m - 1100m Side Overlap: 39% Swath Width: 866m Laser return: All returns Laser mode: LASER DATA CHARACTERISTICS Characteristic: Description Format: space delimited ASCII, LAS Average Point Specification: 4 point/m² Laser footprint size: 0.38m REFERENCE SYSTEMS Horizontal: Datum: GDA94 Projection: MGA Zone 55
