Lineage
In 2012 GA began a Project aimed at updating the National Hospitals spatial database. The historic GA Points of Interest spatial database file was used as the core database in which all other information would be built around. Using the source information provided by the National Health Performance Authority (NHPA) in June 2012, all 1007 features were integrated into the core database. Each feature was then individually validated from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia (GA). Image resolution ranged from 0.15m to 2.5m. On 10 December 2014 the NHPA released the MyHospitals database on their public website for download. GA validated this new database against the 2012 database and updated it where changes had occurred.
