  • <div>The Abbot Point to Hydrographers Passage bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the RV Escape during the period 6 Oct 2020 – 16 Mar 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases a section of Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage QLD. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 2040, and processed using QPS QINSy. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • <div>The Kimberley Region and WA Reefs Bathymetry was derived by EOMAP form multispectral satellite data from the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellite sensor. EOMAP was contracted by Geoscience Australia (GA) to provide high-resolution (10m) Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SDB) for the Priority Australian Seabed Mapping Sites. The survey area encompasses an area within Kimberley Region in Western Australia which includes Ashmore Reef, Browse Island, Cartier Island, Clerke Reef, Cunningham Island, Mermaid Reef, Scott Reef and Seringapatam Reef. These critical geospatial data layers provide the essential environmental baseline information for the long-term monitoring and management of these Marine Parks. Mapping the shallow water zone is of importance both from an environmental and socioeconomic perspective. Having access to digital, georeferenced, high-resolution maps of bathymetry and benthic habitats of shallow water areas, is of fundamental use in the areas of navigation, ecological research, environmental modelling, management and conservation, and monitoring the impacts from climate change. Bathymetry data was processed using the physics-based inversion method to derive quantitative information of the shallow water bathymetry using the reflected sunlight energy in different wavelengths of the visible and near infrared region.   • <div>The Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping was acquired by Ocean Infinity Pty Ltd onboard the M/V Offshore Solution from the 21st to the 24th July 2021, using a Kongsberg EM2040 Mark II. This survey was part of the Norfolk Island Nearshore and Coastal Habitat Mapping project in partnership with Deakin University’s Marine Mapping Group, University of Wollongong, Tellus4D Geoimaging, University of Newcastle, University of New South Wales, University of Tasmania and Geoscience Australia to obtain high resolution bathymetric grid (1m) and to define the morpho-bathymetry of the survey area based on the bathymetric grid and derived products such as slope aspect map, ruggedness map, bathymetry position index and backscatter map. This dataset contains a 1m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF file of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM2040 Mark II bathymetry data, using Qimera and CARIS HIPS and SIPS software.   • <div>The Zeehan and Franklin Marine Parks, West Coast Tasmania&nbsp;Bathymetry Acquisition was acquired by CSIRO onboard the TV Bluefin between 22 Feb 2022 and 21 Mar 2022, using a Kongsberg EM2040C. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), University of Tasmania, to conduct a multibeam survey encompasing the Zeehan and Franklin Marine Parks for Parks Australia. Bathymetry data was processed using QPS Qimera and Caris Hips & Sips processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 2m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area. The survey area encompases an area in Cape Leeuwin, WA. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040P, and processed using CARIS HIPS and SIPS processing software.   • <div>The Furneaux Group, Bass Strait&nbsp;bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) using Cessna 441 during the period 11 Apr 2022 – 20 Nov 2022. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by Fugro Australia as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases an area in Furneaux Group, Bass Strait. Bathymetry data was acquired using a LADS HD+ / LADS HD / RIEGL VQ-820-G, and processed using RIEGL RiProcess and CARIS HIPS and SIPS processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

  • The Wallaby-Zenith Fracture Zone Survey was acquired by the Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre at the University of Western Australia during the expedition “Indomitable” onboard the RV DSSV Pressure Drop from the 8th March to the 2nd June 2021 led by Dr. Alan Jamieson, using a Kongsberg EM124. The expedition was funded by a joint mission between Caladan Oceanic LLC (US) and the Minderoo Foundation (Australia). This dataset contains a 64m-resolution and a 128mm-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM124 bathymetry data, using QPS Qimera v.2.5 software. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes. This dataset is published with the permission of the CEO, Geoscience Australia.

The survey area encompasses an area in Clarence Strait to Dundas Strait. Bathymetry data was acquired using Kongsberg EM2040-07 and Kongsberg EM2040-P, and processed using QIMERA and BeamworX AutoClean processing software.   • <div>The South-west Corner and Perth Canyon Marine Parks Bathymetry Acquisition was acquired by the&nbsp;Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre of the University of Western Australia on-board the MV Pangaea Ocean Explorer&nbsp;from the 24th of March to the 05th of April 2022, using a Kongsberg EM304 multibeam sonar. </div><div>The survey was led by Dr. Todd Bond and the collected data were processed by Dr. Yakup Niyazi.</div><div>This dataset contains a 64m-resolution and four 128m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM304 bathymetry data, using QPS Qimera v.2.5 software.
