Abstract
<div>The South-west Corner and Perth Canyon Marine Parks Bathymetry Acquisition was acquired by the Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre of the University of Western Australia on-board the MV Pangaea Ocean Explorer from the 24th of March to the 05th of April 2022, using a Kongsberg EM304 multibeam sonar. </div><div>The survey was led by Dr. Todd Bond and the collected data were processed by Dr. Yakup Niyazi.</div><div>This dataset contains a 64m-resolution and four 128m-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM304 bathymetry data, using QPS Qimera v.2.5 software. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes. This dataset is published with the permission of the CEO, Geoscience Australia.</div>

<div>AusSeabed follows the recommended processing methodology as prescribed by the AusSeabed Multibeam Guidelines (https://australian-multibeam-guidelines.github.io/). Please note that certain products are subject to routine update (e.g. resolution, coverage, temporal variation, guidelines/best practice). The client is advised to refer to the latest version of all documents and products for the mostup-to-date material. For eCat records the version is expressed in the record title whilst products incorporate date of production as per AusSeabed’s file naming convention.</div><div><br></div><div>Survey metadata:</div><div>The multibeam bathymetry was acquired by the following survey:</div><div>- Survey Name: South-west Corner and Perth Canyon Marine Park Surveys</div><div>- Vessel Name: MV Pangaea Ocean Explorer</div><div>- Institution: U WA</div><div>- Country: Australia</div><div>- Operator: Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre</div><div>- Multibeam system: EM304</div><div>- Year of installation: 2022</div><div>- Nominal sonar frequency: 30 kHz</div><div>- Number of heads: 1</div><div>- Number of beams: 400</div><div>- Beamwidth along track: 1 degree</div><div>- Beamwidth across track: 1 degree</div><div>- Pulse length: variable</div><div>- Selectable depth range: variable</div><div>- Vessel speed: Unknown</div><div>- Start Date: 24/03/2022</div><div>- End Date: 05/04/2022</div><div>- Start Port: Fremantle, WA</div><div>- End Port: Fremantle, WA</div><div>- Grid resolution: 64 and 128m</div><div>- Number of grids: 5</div><div>- Use Limitation: This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div><div>- This dataset is published with the permission of the CEO, Geoscience Australia</div><div>- Vertical Datum: EGM2008</div><div>- Horizontal Datum: WGS84 (EPSG:4326)</div><div><br></div><div>Processing methodology:</div><div>The bathymetric dataset was processed using QPS Qimera v2.5 as follow:</div><div>1.
