Lineage

The Aviation Fire Fighting and Recue points were digitized in 2012 from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m resolution aerial photos to 2.5m resolution satellite images. This dataset was developed in October 2012. Source Information; Primary information sources used to identify and attribute the national Aviation Fire Fighting and Recue dataset came from existing Geoscience Australia (GA) spatial data and the following publicly available publications/websites: - En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA), - Airservices Australia AFFR Descriptions: http://www.airservicesaustralia.com Where required these primary information sources were supplemented with online, publicly available information from individual airport, local council websites or interest groups.
