SKI0001 Southern Kangaroo Island Mapping expedition Bathymetry 2022 (20220124S)
The Southern Kangaroo Island Mapping expedition, SurveyID SKI0001 was acquired by Precision Hydrographic Service Pty Ltd, onboard the Southern Ranger. The Bathymetry was captured from the 3rd of February to the 7th of February 2022 using a Kongsberg 2040P MBES.
Objective: The objective of the Southern Kangaroo Island survey was to conduct a multibeam bathymetry and backscatter survey of five areas south of Kangaroo Island for the purpose of habitat mapping.

The Southern Kangaroo island survey was acquired by Precision Hydrographic services (PHS) on behalf of the South Australia Department for Environment and Water, with investment from Parks Australia. Bathymetry was captured on board the Southern Ranger vessel from the 3rd of February to the 7th of February 2022 using a Kongsberg 2040P MBES. The multibeam bathymetry was captured using a frequency of 300kHz, with a maximum swathe width of 120m and a maximum angular coverage of 140°.
The data was processed with BeamworX AutoClean and the QPS Fledermaus Geocoder Toolbox (FMGT) the following steps were performed:
1. 95 percent confidence assessment.
2. Manual data cleaning.
3. 1m mean surface creation; 4. Multibeam Backscatter processing.
