L192 Georgina-Arunta Deep Crustal Seismic Survey, NT, 2009 Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y Seismic Data and Images for Line 09GA-GA1

Processed Stacked and Migrated SEG-Y seismic data and section images for the Georgina - Arunta Deep Crustal Seismic Survey. This survey was primarily funded through the Onshore Energy Security Program and was acquired in collaboration the Northern Territory Geological Survey. The objectives of the survey were to image the Georgina and Amadeus basins to enhance the knowledge of their petroleum prospectivity, and to investigate the uranium potential of the Arunta Inlier.

Statement

Terrex Seismic was contracted to undertake the data acquisition.

Seismic Reflection data was acquired using 3 x Hemi 60 Vibroseis trucks and a SERCEL 428XL acquisition equipment.

Parameters used included 3 x 60,000 lb source, vibe interval 80m, 3 x 12 second sweeps (7-56Hz, 12-96 Hz & 8-80Hz),

40m geophone group interval, split spread 6000m-0-6000m (300 channel). Correlated record length 20 sec.


Geoscience Australia processed the data using Disco Focus Software. Metadata with details of processing is included in the data download files.
