This product delivers, in a GIS accessible format, information from the GIS dataset from the Murray Basin Hydrogeological Map series. The dataset provides a summary of understanding and interpretation of groundwater systems in the Murray Basin in the 1990’s. Statement

<p>This GIS dataset has been created using a combination of historic data capture and new data capture from the original printed maps. The main map face information for salinity and yield has been fully recaptured in Esri ArcGISPro software using the original projection details as published on the original maps. Features were heads up digitised, and attribute information was sourced from the original map legend, adhering to the nomenclature used on the map. The final dataset has been transformed to reference the GDA 2020 datum in ArcGISPro, and the original output format of File Geodatabase. Safe Software's FME application has then been used to transform the dataset into other formats to be made available to non-Esri software users. All other features included in this dataset have been sourced from original data capture efforts, and spatial accuracy may differ to the information captured more recently.&nbsp;Datasets have been edge matched across individual 250K map sheets to produce a consistent dataset across the whole map series.</p>
