Lineage

The maritime facilities datasets were originally digitized in 2012 from aerial photography, orthophotos and satellite imagery held within Geoscience Australia. The datasets were reviewed and revised in 2014 Primary information sources used to identify and attribute the major ports and public ferry terminals were internal Geoscience Australia (GA) spatial data, annually released and publicly available publications and supplemented with information from online marine tracking sources, terminal owners/operators, and government agencies, including websites, annual reports and case studies.
