Surface Hydrology Lines (Regional)
The Surface Hydrology Lines (Regional) dataset provides a set of related features classes to be used as the basis of the production of consistent hydrological information. This dataset contains a geometric representation of major hydrographic line elements - both natural and artificial. This dataset is the best available data supplied by Jurisdictions and aggregated by Geoscience Australia. It is intended for defining hydrological features with attributes.

The Surface Hydrology Lines (Regional) dataset is a collaborative effort by Geoscience Australia and state governments. Geoscience Australia manages a data aggregation from multiple jurisdictional sources. The scale of the data ranges from 1:25,000 to 1: 250,000 across the continent. This dataset contains the hydrology line features only. This data is maintained by Jurisdictions and Geoscience Australia aggregates into a National Model and forms the surface water components of the Foundation Spatial Data Framework.
