Geotechnical data presented in this database were collected according to Australian Standard AS 1289.6.5.1-1999. The data with which the database is populated initially are direct products of the Geoscience Australia Cities Projects in Newcastle and Perth. However, the database is intended to (and has been constructed to) incorporate future and/or pre-existing geotechnical data as it becomes available.
