<div>The Abbot Point to Hydrographers Passage bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the RV Escape during the period 6 Oct 2020 – 16 Mar 2021. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by iXblue Pty Ltd as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompases a section of Two-Way Route from Abbot Point through Hydrographers Passage QLD. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM 2040, and processed using QPS QINSy. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

<div>The Cape Fourcroy (West) bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) during the period 18 Aug 2023 – 15 Oct 2023. This was a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompasses an area in Cape Fourcroy (West). Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040 MKII, and processed using CARIS HIPS and SIPS, and QIMERA processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

<div>The Hobart Reference Surfaces bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) on 10 Oct to 8 Nov 2021. This surface was created from a contracted national reference survey in Hobart TAS, collected for the purpose of calibrating multibeam echosounders. It was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program, acquired using Kongsberg EM2040D, and processed using QPS Qimera. Separate grids in 0.5m and 1m resolutions are provided for the two surveyed sites within this survey area in MSL, LAT and Ellipsoid vertical datum. The dataset was then exported as 0.5m and 1m resolutions, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

<div>The Darwin Reference Surfaces bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) on 8 Jul 2020. This surface was created from a contracted national reference survey in Darwin NT, collected for the purpose of calibrating multibeam echosounders. It was conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program, acquired using R2Sonic 2026 and R2Sonic 2024, and processed using QPS Qimera. Separate grids in 0.5m resolution are provided for the two surveyed sites within this survey area in MSL, LAT and Ellipsoid vertical datum. The dataset was then exported as a 0.5m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

The Wallaby-Zenith Fracture Zone Survey was acquired by the Minderoo-UWA Deep-Sea Research Centre at the University of Western Australia during the expedition “Indomitable” onboard the RV DSSV Pressure Drop from the 8th March to the 2nd June 2021 led by Dr. Alan Jamieson, using a Kongsberg EM124. The expedition was funded by a joint mission between Caladan Oceanic LLC (US) and the Minderoo Foundation (Australia). This dataset contains a 64m-resolution and a 128mm-resolution 32-bit floating point GeoTIFF files of the bathymetry in the study area, derived from the processed EM124 bathymetry data, using QPS Qimera v.2.5 software. This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes. This dataset is published with the permission of the CEO, Geoscience Australia.

<div>The Western Approaches to Torres Strait Bathymetry survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the MV Pacific Conquest, an unmanned vehicle USV and VH-VEH Cessna 441 aircraft during the period 29 October 2020 – 21 February 2021. </div><div>This is a contracted survey conducted for the Australian Hydrographic Office by Fugro Australia Marine as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program (HIPP). </div><div>The survey area is east of the Western approaches to the Torres Strait. </div><div>Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040 (Dual/Single Head and Dual swath), EM2040P and LADS HD+ and RIEGL VQ-820-G systems and processed using CARIS HIPS & SIPS 11.3.17, LADS HD+ GS, RiWorld processing software. </div><div>The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area.</div><div>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.</div>

<div>The Kimberley Region and WA Reefs Bathymetry was derived by EOMAP form multispectral satellite data from the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellite sensor. EOMAP was contracted by Geoscience Australia (GA) to provide high-resolution (10m) Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SDB) for the Priority Australian Seabed Mapping Sites. The survey area encompasses an area within Kimberley Region in Western Australia which includes Ashmore Reef, Browse Island, Cartier Island, Clerke Reef, Cunningham Island, Mermaid Reef, Scott Reef and Seringapatam Reef. These critical geospatial data layers provide the essential environmental baseline information for the long-term monitoring and management of these Marine Parks. Mapping the shallow water zone is of importance both from an environmental and socioeconomic perspective. Having access to digital, georeferenced, high-resolution maps of bathymetry and benthic habitats of shallow water areas, is of fundamental use in the areas of navigation, ecological research, environmental modelling, management and conservation, and monitoring the impacts from climate change. Bathymetry data was processed using the physics-based inversion method to derive quantitative information of the shallow water bathymetry using the reflected sunlight energy in different wavelengths of the visible and near infrared region. The Northern Approaches to Broome multibeam survey was acquired for the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO) onboard the MV Bhagwan K during the period 05 August– 02 October 2020. This was a contracted survey conducted by EGS as part of the Hydroscheme Industry Partnership Program. The survey area encompasses the northern approaches to Broome, WA located between the Talboys Rock and Gantheaume Point, Western Australia. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040D 200-400 kHz and processed using QPS QINSy 9.2.3 processing software. The dataset was then exported as a 30m resolution, 32 bit floating point GeoTIFF grid of the survey area. <BR>This dataset is not to be used for navigational purposes.

The survey area encompases an area in North-East Beagle Gulf and Clarence Strait, Northern Territory. Bathymetry data was acquired using a Kongsberg EM2040 07 MK II, and processed using Caris Hips & Sips processing software. The Solitary Islands Gumbaynggirr Yaegl MP bathymetry survey was acquired by the NSW government (Department of Planning and Environment – DPE) onboard the RV Bombora during the period 31 Aug 2022 – 31 Jul 2023, using DPE’s R2Sonic 2022 multibeam sonar. The survey was completed as part of the SeabedNSW program funded by NSW government through Coastal Reforms (>2015), HabMap Program funded through Marine Parks Authority (now under Marine Estate Management Authority) or through collaborations with partner agencies or institutions. The purpose of the project was to 1) provide a baseline dataset and 2) map the spatial distribution of seabed types. This dataset contains 32-bit floating point geotiff files of bathymetry and backscatter in 5m resolution for the study area, derived from the processed Hypack, R2Sonic GUI, POSView, POSPac, Qimera and FMGT software.
