AAMHatch has been engaged by Geoscience Australia to undertake a LiDAR survey over the Broken Hill Managed Aquifer Recharge (BHMAR) Phase 2 project area, for the purpose of producing a DTM and vegetation structure analysis. The survey covers an area of approximately 7856 sqkm of the Lower Darling River, downstream from Wilcannia. To this end, LiDAR data was acquired from a fixed wing aircraft between June 19th and August 5th 2009.

The generation of the Climate Futures LiDAR dataset was commissioned by the Antarctic Climate & Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre (ACE CRC), as part of its Climate Futures for Tasmania project. The dataset has been lodged with the State Government of Tasmania through the Department of Primary Industries and Water to make it freely available in the public domain. Digital Mapping Australia (DiMAP) collected the raw data and checked the digital elevation dataset in detail to the 10 metres AHD.
