Abstract
<div>The Drainage Catchment Digital Elevation Model (DEM) collection includes DEMs created by Geoscience Australia using open elevation data sourced from the Elvis Elevation and Depth system. The drainage catchment DEMs provide a regional product filling the gap between localised high resolution tiled data and the national low resolution mosaic provided by the 1-second Shutte Radar Topographic Mission dataset. The drainage catchment DEMs fill a critical gap, providing data to support efficient planning, research and decision-making by government, industry, and research communities. DEMs for available drainage catchments are delivered as a mosaicked product in raster format. Metadata for each drainage catchment is supplied in word document and shapefile format. The shapefile enables users to inspect metadata in a Geographic Information System.</div><div><br></div><div>Value: Data used at regional scales to represent and provide understanding of ground surface topography. Supply of models as a single file allows easier use and wider uptake, for example in assessments of water movement through the landscape or the potential movements of fires. Provide access to all Drainage Catchment Digital Elevation Models through a single record.</div>
