  • The Tsunami Data Access Tool (Tsu-DAT) is intended for use by the emergency management community to understand the offshore tsunami hazard for areas of interest around Australia and to access the large database of tsunami waveforms to generate the required input to a detailed tsunami impact assessment for a given community. The offshore tsunami hazard and resultant waveforms are a result of the probabilistic tsunami hazard assessment (PTHA) of Australia (Burbidge2008a). This assessment modelled thousands of synthetic tsunami to estimate the likelihood of a tsunami wave of a given amplitude occurring at an offshore location, defined at the 100 m depth contour. A database of tsunami waveforms at points along the 100 m depth contour around the Australian coast was created. The Tsu-DAT allows users to search this database and extract tsunami waveforms for events of interest. These waveforms are in a format that can be used to drive more detailed models of tsunami inundation and impact for communities of interest.

  • This product is the single largest AGSO funded stream sediment geochemical data set available in Australia. The data covers roughly 80 000 square kilometres of Proterozoic and Phanerozoic north Queensland and contains 235 914 analyses of 8752 samples. This product also includes PDF files of the associated reports and atlases.

  • From 1995 to 2000 information from the federal and state governments was compiled for Comprehensive Regional Assessments (CRA), which formed the basis for Regional Forest Agreements (RFA) that identified areas for conservation to meet targets agreed by the Commonwealth Government with the United Nations. These 5 CDs were created as part of GA's contribution to the SE Queensland CRA. CD1 contains ArcView Legends and Projects, data coverages, shapefiles, all documents and reports and associated maps and figures. CD2 contains various edited versions of covers and shapefiles, original data supplied by custodians, and staff workareas. CD3 contains Landsat, Magnetics etc. images. CD4 contains DEM etc. CD5 contains integration data, miscellaneous ArcInfo grids, and ArcInfo graphic files.

  • Geoscience Australia contracted an airborne electromagnetic (AEM) survey over the Frome Embayment, South Australia, under the Australian Government's Onshore Energy Security Program. The Frome AEM survey was acquired using the Fugro Airborne Surveys (FAS) TEMPEST fixed wing time-domain electromagnetic (TEM) AEM system. The acquisition and processing of data were carried out by FAS under contract to Geoscience Australia. The Frome AEM survey consists of 32 300 line km, covering a total area of 95 000 km2 and was flown between 19 May and 2 November 2010. The survey was designed to deliver reliable, pre-competitive AEM data and scientific analysis of the energy resource potential of the Frome region of South Australia, including the flanks of the Northern Flinders Ranges, the Frome Embayment, the Olary Ranges and the northwestern Murray Basin. The survey data may also be used as an input to groundwater studies in the region. This presentation was given at a Frome AEM Workshop in Adelaide - November 2011.

  • Meteorological data from Arcturus (ARA) atmospheric greenhouse gas baseline station. Data includes time stamp (local time), air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, sigma-theta, solar radiation, barometric pressure and total rainfall. Dataset limited to 15 min and 60 min average data from12/6/13 to 21/6/13.

  • GIS package attached to the final reports on activities in the Gawler - Eucla, TiTree, Wilkinkarra, Murchison and Paterson regions for the Palaeovalley Groundwater Project.
