Abstract

This data is purely for viewing though the AMSIS application. These bathymetry contours are an extract from the program "GEBCO Digital Atlas 2003". This dataset depicts bathymetry contours for the extent of the Australian Marine Spatial Information System (AMSIS) website, covering the general area of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The contours were extracted into a shape file from the program "GEBCO (General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans) Digital Atlas 2003" which is a deep ocean product and does not include detailed bathymetry for shallow shelf waters. Contours extracted include: 100m, 200m, 225m, 300m, 325m, 400m, 500m, 1000 - 10,000m.
