Information on the location of red crab crossing grids and migration gates were provided to Geoscience Australia by Christmas Island National Park in July 2012 as two shapefiles - red_crab_migration_fencing.shp, and red_crab_migration_infrastructure_pts.shp. The only changes made to the data were to move eight grid points to line up with the orthophotography. For these edited points, the Â`x and Â`y fields were updated using the Field Calculator in Quantum GIS. Attributes include; road name, fence name, type of infrastructure and x and y coordinates.
