Digital Elevation Model (DEM) 1 Metre Grid Metadata of Murray Darling Basin Elevation Project (Quasigeoid) derived from LiDAR
The Murray Darling Basin Elevation Project (MDBEP) data covers the areas of the Murray Floodplain (Wakool and Edward Rivers) and Darling catchment areas (Balonne, Barwon, Bokhara, Boomi, Culgoa, Gwydir, Namoi, Macintyre, Macquarie, Mooni and Narran rivers).

- Statement
-
The LiDAR was captured at a nominal density of two outgoing laser pulses per square metre.
Spatial Accuracy Horizontal: 0.8 Spatial Accuracy Vertical: 0.3 Laser Return Types: 4 pulses (1st 2nd 3rd 4th and intensity)
A DEM with a ground pixel spacing of one metre was generated from the LiDAR ground points.
The DEM was exported as a GeoTIFF.
The DEM accuracy will be limited by the spatial accuracy of the LiDAR point data and will contain some additional error due to interpolation, particularly in areas of dense vegetation where ground points are sparse.
Hydro-flattening was undertaken for any visible water in any part of a connected river network or recognised waterway (regardless of size) and all other waterbodies greater than 625 m2.
